Sealed Micro-electrochemical Cell
Sealed Micro-electrochemical Cell, With or Without Sampling Window
Compact design of a micro-volume electrochemical cell to minimize consumption of rare or expensive electrolytes
Sealed micro-electrochemical cell is a compact electrolytic cell featuring a high borosilicate glass cell body with a small volume of 10 ml, and five ports to accommodate three electrodes, gas inlet and outlet. The sealed micro-electrochemical cell provides an oxygen free or a certain gas atmosphere with tightly fixed lids to the glass body, joined by threads and further secured with fluorine rubber O-rings. This also gives an easy access to the glass tank body for facile experiment setup and clean up after use. The compact design of small-volume electrochemical cell is also critical for less consumption of expensive or rare electrolytes.
The sealed micro-electrochemical cells with and without the sampling window have a slight difference in the design of the gas inlet/outlet. The sealed micro-electrochemical cell with sampling window has one of the gas inlet/outlet port on the same lid of working electrode.
Body Material: High Borosilicate Glass
Lid Material: PTFE
Cell Volume: 10 ml
Electrodes in use: Regular 6 mm electrodes, not included with the cell
Type: Sealed, with gas inlet/outlet
Sealed Micro-electrochemical Cell features:
- Small volume of 10 ml or less to minimize sample consumption
- Small distance between working and counter electrodes, resulting in low internal resistance
- Reference electrode close to the working electrode, reducing R-drop
- Sampling window for the sealed micro-electrochemical cell with sampling window
