Our adjustable air knife gives you the ability to control the drying of films produced with our automated thin film applicator based equipment. The adjustable mounting bracket allows you to adjust the distance from your film and the angle of the air curtain for optimized drying conditions.
The air knife is compatible with our automatic thin film applicators, bar coaters, and blade coaters. With the 4 mm push-fit adapter, you can also quickly connect your air knife to a compressed air or pressurised gas line, such as nitrogen for inert gas quenching.

The Coandă Effect
The design of the air knife utilises the Coandă effect. Air exiting the slit between the two parts of the knife remains attached across the convex curved surface, resulting in a pressure drop that entrains additional air into the flow. This results in a multiplier effect in which the air flow within the air curtain is higher than that exiting the slit.
