This adaptable coating system automates the movement of your chosen applicator, from Mayer bars, blade coaters, and gap applicators, to Sheen, Baker, or Bird applicators. Set the optimal speed, from 0.05 mm.s-1 to 250 mm.s-1, for your applicator and solution consistency to create uniform coatings across a large area. Choose between a simple glass stage for easy cleaning or a vacuum stage to securely hold your substrate in place (with or without compatible Diaphragm Vacuum Pump).

- The Ossila Bar Coater includes a set of compatible Mayer rods for coating thicknesses from 6 µm to 200 µm.

Achieve smooth, continuous movement across a wide range of speeds, allowing you to coat different solution viscosities without forming defects. With a quick locking magnet, the stage can be removed and reinstalled, or even switched between the glass and vacuum stage, with ease for quick and efficient cleaning between coatings. The drip tray includes the same design so you can clean up excess solution from your system.
Versatile Coating Area
Perfect for coating large area samples up to A4, scaling up your coating processes with a wide range of techniques has never been easier. The automatic film applicator ensures compatibility with different applicator techniques; from Mayer bars, blade coaters, and gap applicators, to Sheen, Baker, or Bird applicators. Plus, the glass plate stage is pre-printed with a grid pattern so you can quickly setup and align your samples.
Ideal for Flexible Substrates
If you are coating flexible substrates, choose the vacuum stage paired with the Ossila Vaccum Pump. With a maximum vacuum of 330 mbar and a 7 L/min maximum flow rate, it is perfect for securing flexible or foil substrates. The vacuum stage is comes with grid-based design so you can easily define vacuum area to fit your substrate.
