Sealed Micro-Electrochemical H-Cell Setup

  1. H-type Sealed Micro-Electrochemical Cells: 10/20 ml H-cell (C2032G1) and 5/15 ml H-cell (C2032G1)
  2. Three Electrode Slots and Two Gas Inlets/ Outlets included
  3. Let’s quickly see how to assemble 
  4. Use membrane sealer to fix your membrane in between the compartments
  5. Use a membrane separator suitable for the electrolyte
  6. Tighten the junction against leak using the provided clamp  (Electrodes needs to purchase separately)
  7. Working Electrode: You can use an Electrode Holders or a Disk Electrode with the Cell
  8. Disk Working Electrode fixing (Platinum and Glassy Carbon Normal and Removable Disk WE are available to purchase alongside Platinum and Glassy Carbon Electrode Holders)
  9. Reference Electrode fixing
  10. Ag/AgCl for Aqueous and Ag/Ag+ for non-aqueous
  11. Allow the Reference Electrode the reach the equilibrium once fills with the solution before use
  12. Always makes sure to use the provided O-rings to achieve adequate sealing
  13. Counter Electrode fixing
  14. Wire, and Coil Counter/ Auxiliary Electrodes fits well with the cell
  15. Can fix the Gas Inlet/Outlets or close the ports with Stoppers (provided) as required 
  16. Follow the steps to obtain good sealing
  17. Now your cell is ready
  18. Around 3ml minimum Electrolyte in each compartment is needed to immerse the Electrodes
  19. Electrodes are well immersed with 5 ml Electrolyte in each compartment
  20. The cell has maximum 10-12 ml capacity in each compartment
  21. A range of spare parts and extras and included within:
    • O-rings for PTFE Lids
    • PTFE Tubing (1m)
    • PTFE Sealing
    • Electrode and Gas Feed Fitting Screws and O-rings
    • PTFE Rod Stoppers and Caps
    • Silicone Rubber Gaskets
