L-Shaped Detachable Glassy Carbon Electrode
L-Shaped Detachable Glassy Carbon Electrode, PEEK
Detachable glassy carbon electrode designed for in-situ Raman electrochemical cells and cyclic voltammetry
Overview | Specifications | Pricing and Options
A L-shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode is a L-shaped glassy carbon working electrode with a detachable rod. The detachable rod enables the electrode to gain access to limited spaces that a normal L-shaped electrode can't reach, especially in the case of in-situ Raman electrochemical cells with a small volume compartment for a three-electrode system. The L-Shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode can be offered as an alternative to PEEK platinum electrode holder. L-Shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode provides an adjustable distance between the surface material of the working electrode and the quartz window to carry out the in-situ Raman studies.
The L-shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode features a sleek design of detachable PEEK rod, a glassy carbon disk and a PTFE isolation ring to separate the conductive glassy carbon disk and the insulating PEEK body. With relatively high surface tension, the PTFE separation ring between the glassy carbon disk and the PEEK rod prevents the solution sample on the electrode surface from spreading to the outer surface of the electrode.
With a detachable design by threaded connection, the electrode tip with glass carbon disk will pass through the working electrode hole from the quartz window of the in-situ Raman electrochemical cell, then joined by the other part of the detachable L-shaped electrode with a tight screw fix. The L-shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode is secured to the in-situ Raman electrochemical cell by the electrode screw with the connecting joint not passing by the O-ring to prevent the electrolyte getting into the connecting joint of the detachable electrode.
C2040A1, compatible with the 10 ml in-situ Raman electrochemical cell, L-shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode with 8.5 mm head depth.
C2040B1, compatible with the 30 ml in-situ Raman electrochemical cell, L-shaped detachable glassy carbon electrode with 10.5 mm head depth.

PEEK vs PTFE
The choice of whether to use PEEK (polyether ether ketone) or PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene, Teflon) comes down to the conditions of your planned experiments. The key polymer properties to consider are:
