Overview | Product Information | Related Products | Technical Support
COOH functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNT-COOH) are oxidized single-walled carbon nanotubes bearing carboxylic acid groups on the surface of the nanotubes. SWCNT-COOHs possess the same excellent mechanical, electrical, optical, and thermal properties as pristine SWCNTs. The carboxylic acid groups improve the dispersion of SWCNT-COOHs in solutions and polymer resins, due to the potential formation of hydrogen bonds and chemical crosslinking. SWCNT-COOHs are also used to disperse gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) in combination with a CuMOF (HKUST-1) for sensing and monitoring imatinib in human blood serum. This CuMOF-COOH-SWCNT@AuNPs electrochemical sensor exhibits a linear response in a wide range of 0.05 – 20.0 μM.
COOH functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes are applied as a conductive additive for boron-silicon (B-Si) alloy anode in lithium batteries. SWCNT-COOHs stabilize the B-Si colloids in NMP, maintaining the homogeneity of the anode. The SWCNT-COOH-dispersed B-Si anode demonstrates stable lithiation-delithiation cycles, showing more than 80% capacity retention with minimal impedance gains after 1000 cycles.
