This flat-bottom electrochemical flask is ideal for complex electrochemical experiments needing controlled gas atmospheres with four 19/26 ground-glass ports, with one compatible Luggin capillary, and a central 24/29 port. For more complex experiments, it can be used with a rotating disk electrode (RDE) or rotating ring-disk electrode (RRDE).

The five-port design provides exceptional flexibility for a wide range of electrochemical setups, including a standard three-electrode arrangement (working, counter, and reference electrodes). The extra ports provide additional control such as the provided liquid sealing devices and gas control accessories, as well as thermometers, rotating electrodes, or custom experimental configurations. The cell can be set up for a variety of applications, including gas-controlled electrochemistry, corrosion studies, RDE/RRDE experiments, electrocatalysis, and temperature-sensitive electrochemical investigations.

The F-shaped dual-port gas inlet/outlet accessory can control electrolyte bubbling while supporting an inert gas blanket above the electrolyte surface. Experiments that require oxygen-free or controlled-atmosphere conditions often require this level of control. The liquid sealing accessory can also be incorporated, acting as a one-way pressure control system that helps regulate internal pressure while isolating the cell from the surrounding environment. Chemically resistant PTFE sealing components and precision ground-glass joints provide secure, airtight sealing around inserted components.
