The Ossila PTFE Union Connectors are engineered to provide reliable, leak-free, and chemically inert fluidic coupling for high-performance laboratory architectures. Specifically optimized for the rigid tubing systems common in gas diffusion electrode (GDE) flow cells, membrane electrode assembly (MEA) electrolyzers, and flow chemistry networks, these connectors ensure smooth fluid transit without risking system contamination.
Fabricated entirely from premium polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), this metal-free construction eliminates the risk of trace metal or ionic leaching, preserving the integrity of sensitive catalytic and electrochemical environments.
This connector series is available in two configurations:
PTFE Straight (Equal) Connectors connect two fluid lines of the exact same diameter (e.g. 3 mm–3 mm OD), ideal for extending fluid line length within the laboratory setup with minimum dead volume between identical tubing materials.
PTFE Reducing Connectors bridge two fluidic lines of different diameters. Most commonly used to step down high-volume reagent or gas feed lines to match smaller entry ports on electrochemical cells or analytical instruments such as chromatography (e.g. GC-MS, ICP-MS), spectroscopy, or inline sensor set ups.
Chemically Inert
Resistant to aggressive acids, strong bases, and organic solvents
Zero Contamination
Metal-free construction guarantees no ionic leaching
Leak-Tight Performance
Designed for a secure compression fit on specific OD tubing
High Thermal Stability
Maintains mechanical and sealing integrity at elevated operational temperatures
