Photoelectrochemical H-Cell (PECs) With Double Optical Windows

High quality borosilicate glass photoelectrochemical H-cell with high purity quartz optical windows for electrochemistry studies, JGS2 Quartz 0.220-2.5 (μm)

Overview | Specifications | Pricing and Options | Gallery | Related Products

Photoelectrochemical H-cell with dual optical windows allow photocatalytic reactions to convert light energy into chemical energy or electricity. The H-cell with dual optical windows features two optical windows, made of high purity quartz with a transmittance >95%.

This design allows both compartments to be illuminated, supporting two photoelectrodes operate simultaneously. The anode and cathode chambers are bridged and can be separated by ion-exchange membrane. Easily align the photoelectrodes with the optical window for maximum light exposure and absorption. This design has detachable chambers and replaceable optical windows, making it convenient to set-up, disassemble and easy to clean.

This PEC can be used for tandem photoelectrochemical systems, where a photoanode and photocathode both contribute to the overall photovoltage, potentially reducing the external bias required. Alternatively, the configuration can be used for independent studies of anodic and cathodic photoresponses under identical experimental conditions. The photoelectrochemical H-cell with dual optical windows can be used for photoelectrocatalytic reactions, CO2 reduction, light induced water-splitting, photo corrosion, and artificial photosynthesis.
