Our H-type photoelectrochemical cell features one optical window, gas inlet and outlet for degassing, counter electrode feedthrough, working electrode feedthrough, reference electrode feedthrough, and a sample window. The H-type photoelectrochemical cell can have two different solutions, this is possible with the help of the membrane which prevents the solutions from mixing.
Note: The quoted volume (100 ml) is the total volume across the H-type set up, therefore each half-cell has a volume of 50 ml.

*The volume of the half-cell is measured with liquid filled above the H-cell bridge (notation: Bridge), filled above the optical window (notation: Window), filled till the thread (notation: Thread) and filled till the cell is full (notation: Full). Left refers to the half cell with an optical window; right refers to the half-cell without an optical window.
