A high quality two or three electrode glass photoelectrochemical cell designed for photoelectric effect studies. The screw-fit PTFE lid includes electrode inlets to accommodate a working electrode, a counter electrode, and a reference electrode, plus two gas inlets.
Photoelectrochemical cells are based on a semiconductor–electrolyte interface. The working electrode, also referred to as photoanode, is normally an n- or p-type semiconductor, i.e. a polymer semiconductor on an ITO/FTO substrate, held by a platinum plate electrode holder. In photoelectrochemical cells, the counter electrode can be platinum or platinum free.
