Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood Features

Laminar Flow Hood filter

High Purity Air

Expertly designed to create an environment of high air quality, achieving up to ISO Class 5 standards. Through the use of H13 grade HEPA filters, it can effectively eliminate more than 99.99% of airborne contaminants.

Low Operating Costs

Boasting a range of energy-saving features: low-energy lighting, infrared motion sensors that activate standby mode, UV LED with adjustable timers, and back pressure sensors to track filter saturation. Collectively, these features ensure minimal power consumption and offer an environmentally conscious lab solution.

Laminar Flow Hood sensors

Smart Air Sensing Technology

Continuous air quality management ensures compliance with stringent ISO standards, and actively tracks filter saturation. Using this information, the motor operates at the optimal speed to maintain a clean air environment. This alerts you to upcoming HEPA filter replacements, streamlining system maintenance.

Interchangeable Configuration

Interchangeable Configuration

The interchangeable bench top design provides optimal adaptability. You can switch between vertical and horizontal configurations to guarantee the best set up for your needs.

Set of Filters

Set of Filters

Ready to use with a compatible HEPA filter and a pre-filter. You can get started straight away knowing your new lab addition provides an optimal performance and clean environment.

Environmental Sensors

Environmental Sensors

Integrating an array of environmental sensors, the system offers pressure and temperature readings, passive infrared motion detection, and laser scattering for airborne particle counting.

Differential Pressure Sensors

Differential Pressure Sensors

The hood is equipped with sensors to monitor air pressure throughout the workspace. They ensure clean air flows in the right direction and alert you to any air flow changes.

Differential Pressure Sensors

UV Lighting

The integration of UV lights maximizes the cleanliness of your workspace. With adjustable timers and a motion detection safety feature, you can safely sterilize the hood when it is not in use.

Stainless Steel Tray

Stainless Steel Tray

We use high quality, durable stainless steel for the workspace tray. This makes our laminar flow hoods easy to clean, resistant to corrosion, and conducive to a sterile working environment.

Why Choose a Horizontal Laminar Flow Hood?

Significant Protection from Contamination

Air flows parallel to the work bench, continuously removing dust and other particles from the hood. This minimizes the risk of your samples being compromised by unwanted particles in your workspace, such as dust on gloves or stray materials.

Reduced Risk of User Contamination

Placing your hands into a horizontal laminar flow hood does not interrupt the laminar flow. Dust and impurities on your hands or gloves are quickly pushed out of the workspace, and user contamination is greatly reduced as a result.

Smooth Air Flow at Bench

Turbulence near the work bench is less likely with the horizontal configuration than the vertical configuration. If you are consistently working on the bench top with media plates or small-area thin films, it will protect your samples effectively without disturbing them.

Air Flow in Laminar Flow Hoods

Although the idea behind a laminar flow hood is simple, the implementation of a clean air flow is quite complex. The formation and preservation of optimal air flow characteristics within the hood are essential to maintain a contaminant-free workspace.

Air flow, speed, and direction are all important characteristics, and their implementation can impact the stability of the air flow.
