Easily Define Your Slot Die Coating Width
A range of shims for to define different coating widths and volumes for the Ossila Slot Die Head
Slot die coating heads require the use of shims to define the coating width. Shims can also be used as spacers to separate the sections of the heads to change the internal pressure for higher flow rates or more viscous solutions. Ossila sell a range of slot die shims in packs of 5 with predefined coating widths. These shims are compatible with either our 50 mm slot-die head or our 100 mm slot die head.
In addition to shims we also sell slot die heads, and meniscus guides which can help to better define the coating width of your deposited film. We also offer custom shim, and meniscus guides. Our custom shim options allow for multi strip coatings.

*It is recommended that at 50mm or below users should switch to the 50mm head as coating distribution at these lower widths is better optimized in this head.

These shims are designed to be used with the Ossila Slot Die Head. When slot die coating, we would recommend using one or multiple shims to define channel width, alongside a meniscus guide with a similar coating width for best coating results.
