How to Change the Mayer Rod on the Ossila Automatic Film Applicator

  • The mayer rod can be removed by lifting the handle and sliding the bar out from under the hooks
  • To change the orientation of the handle, unscrew the top of the handle attachment points making sure to hold down the spring.
  • Gently remove the screw top and spring.
  • Having removed both screw top attachment points the handle can now be removed and rotated 180° to fit the different sized mayer bar.
  • Replace the spring and then screw top to both handle attachment points.
  • The handle is now ready to be lifted and a different sized mayer rod can slot in under the hooks.
