Strong academic roots

Ossila was founded in 2009 by a team of scientists from the University of Sheffield, and since then we have maintained strong ties with the academic community. That connection shapes how we work today, particularly through our close collaboration with students. From undergraduate to PhD level, we value the knowledge, creativity, and up-to-date scientific expertise that students bring from their studies.

In placements and part-time opportunities, students contribute meaningfully to projects in R&D, coding, technical writing, and more. Providing hands-on experience within a high-tech company environment in Sheffield, students build practical skills and confidence in balance with their academic work.
