This is standard practice before HER and OER studies, where dissolved O₂ can interfere with electrode kinetics or introduce background reduction currents.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eSaturation:\u003c\/strong\u003e Pre-equilibrate the electrolyte with a specific reactant gas so its dissolved concentration reaches a known, stable value before measurement begins. This is essential for CO₂RR, where the electrolyte must be CO₂-saturated, and NRR, where N₂ saturation defines the available nitrogen feedstock.
