TmCzTRZ, bipolar TADF green emitter

Calculated PLQY of 100% in DPEPO host

TmCzTRZ, namely 9,9',9''-(5-(4,6-Diphenyl-1,3,5-triazin-2-yl)benzene-1,2,3-triyl) tris(3,6-dimethyl-9H-carbazole), is methyl substituted TCzTRZ at 3,6-positions of  carbazole units. Due to the electron-donating nature of the methyl groups, TmCzTRZ has relatively higher HOMO energy level than TCzTRZ.

TmCzTRZ is a bipolar TADF green emitter with three electron rich 3,6-dimethylcarbazole and one electron deficient 1,3,5-triazine units. Like TCzTRZ, TmCzTrz has a calculated photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY) of 100% in DPEPO host. An external quantum efficiency (EQE) of over 25% external quantum efficiency has been achieved in a green light emitting device with 30 wt% DPEPO used as host [1].
