FATPA, host material for green PhOLED devices
Exhibits excellent thermal and morphological stability
FATPA, namely 4,4,8,8,12,12-Hexa-p-tolyl-4H-8H-12H-12C-aza-dibenzo[cd,mn]pyrene, is a fully diarylmethylene-bridged triphenylamine (TPA) derivative with six methylphenyl side arms. FATPA has an almost planar triphenylamine core with nitrogen sitting right in the centre of carbon and hydrogen structure. With a Tg of 178 °C, FATPA exhibits excellent thermal and morphological stability.
Green phosphorescent OLED device with the novel FATPA as host material and Ir(ppy)3 as triplet emitter shows a maximum current efficiency of 83.5 cd/A and a maximum power efficiency of 71.4 lm/W [1]
