Video: Demonstration of Dynamic Dispense for Spin Coating


This video demonstrates the dynamic dispense of an ink onto a spinning substrate. By using a static dispense it's possible to get even coverage using much lower volumes of solution than using a static dispense so long as the wetting properties are suitable.

In this example we demonstrate using PEDOT:PSS AI 4083 typically used as a hole transporting layer but the technique is commonly used with a large variety of inks and photoresists.

Here the substrate is spun to 6000rpm and the solution (a quantity of 30-40μl) is dynamically deposited (i.e. during the spinning process) but the process works well for spin coating speeds of around 500 RPM and upwards.
