After bidding farewell to our previous Excilight PhD student on secondment, our collaboration with the EU-funded Excilight Innovative Training Network (ITN) programme continues and we are pleased to welcome Ryta as she begins her secondment with us! A PhD student from the Silesian University of Technology in Poland, Ryta's project with Excilight focuses on electrochemical & spectroelectrochemical characterisation of Exciplex layers & pure materials.

Marharyta Vasylieva, Excilight PhD student on secondment at Ossila (2018)

The major focus of Ryta's secondment here will be an attempt at bridging connections between Chemistry & Engineering. She will conduct research to assess the commercial & technical feasibility of developing a new product that uses one of our current products as a base platform. Additionally, her secondment will function as a two-way knowledge-exchange opportunity. Ossila will teach Ryta coding skills, and in turn she will share her expertise in Cyclic Voltammetry.

We are excited to be working with Ryta in her Excilight PhD journey, and look forward to making scientific advancements together. Towards the end of her secondment, she will aim to share her experiences here - so be sure to keep an eye out for that blogpost!
