Reduced Graphene Oxide
Reduced graphene oxide (rGO), a form of graphene oxide with oxygen-containing groups removed, has recently been added to our collection. The removal of these groups makes the structure of the flakes more similar to pure graphene, significantly improving the electronic properties of the materials whilst retaining some of the solubility of graphene oxide.
We offer rGO synthesised through different reduction methods: chemical and thermal.
Chemically-Reduced Graphene Oxide
Chemically-reduced graphene oxide retains the flake size and layer ratios of graphene oxide, whilst having a low defect density. However, the chemical reduction process retains more oxygen than the thermal reduction process would, resulting in better solubility and poorer electrical properties.

Thermally-Reduced Graphene Oxide
Thermally-reduced graphene oxide retains less oxygen groups than chemically-reduced graphene oxide. However, the processing temperatures required result in smaller flake sizes and higher defect densities than chemical reduction would produce. This results in poorer solubility, but better electrical properties.
