We are always looking out for the latest polymer semiconductors that are being used by distinguished researchers worldwide to acheive high-performance devices in the field of organic electronics (such as OPVs, OFETs, OLED/PLEDs and perovskite solar cells). This is so that you have access to those materials whilst they are achieving academic and industrial benchmarks, which should lead to further scientific understanding and advancements.
With the research activity on small molecules like ITIC and all-polymer solar cells on the rise and reaching the proposed 10/10 target of 10% efficiency and 10-year lifetimes, we have expanded our range of polymer semiconductors by adding three new OPV donor materials and one new OPV acceptor material.
PBDD4T and PBDD4T-2F are family members of polythiophenes with a backbone consisting of repeating benzodithiophene-4,8-dione and α-quaterthiophene units. They are both soluble, low band-gap polymer semiconductors.
PDPP4T-2F and PNF222 (P(NDI2OD-T2F)) are the fluorinated versions of PDPP4T and PNDI(2OD)2T respectively. The fluorine groups lower the HOMO levels, which results in higher VOC with great potential to achieve higher efficiency for device performance.
