Cathode Mask for OLEDs and OPVs
|
A shadow mask for deposition of cathodes (or anodes) onto Ossila standard OLED/OPV substrates (S101) to define the active area.
Size: 75mm x 75mm x 1mm Holds: 12 substrates (S101) Strip width: 9 mm over pixels

New improved design
New design with a single large strip to slightly increase active area, reduce series resistance and increase consistency. Also now available both with and without a 200 um spacer to separate the substrate from the mask to help avoid contact scratches and allow out-gassing of residual solvent from polymer layers.
Mask with direct contact
For sputtering and other non-directional deposition systems, as well as for thermal deposition systems with oblique angles or a very short throw we recommend the use of the direct contact mask to get well defined edges.
Mask with 200 um spacer
For normal thermal evaporation systems we recommend the use of masks with the 200 um spacer to help avoid scratches and allow better out-gassing.
Use: Substrates prepared with OPV/OLED inks are laid with the active face down into each of the twelve device holders so that the shadow mask openings look onto the surface on which the cathode is to be deposited. The mask can then be transferred to an evaporator ready for deposition. Further details are available in the Ossila fabrication video and fabrication manual at www.ossila.com/support.
